Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Rootd, a meal-planning and prep service operated by PINGIT LLC.

Effective September 3, 2026

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing rootdapp.com, go.rootdapp.com, or the Rootd mobile app, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use Rootd.

2. The service

Rootd provides meal planning, recipes, consolidated shopping lists, prep guidance, and night-of cooking steps. Features and recipe availability may change as the service improves. We may apply fair-use limits to generation and other resource-intensive features to protect reliability and prevent abuse.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account activity and for protecting your credentials. Do not share passwords or one-time authentication codes. Rootd may create an anonymous identity to let you begin onboarding; you can later convert it to a permanent sign-in while keeping eligible account data.

4. The 14-day Rootd trial

Eligible accounts receive one 14-day, no-card Rootd-managed trial. The trial begins only when your first usable meal plan is successfully committed. Creating an account or anonymous identity does not start it. A failed or rolled-back plan, retry, reinstall, later plan, or conversion from anonymous to permanent sign-in does not restart or extend it.

The Rootd trial is separate from store billing. The current Google Play, Apple, RevenueCat, and Stripe purchase flows do not start a second free trial.

5. Subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation

Rootd Pro may be offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. Prices are localized and shown before purchase. Your purchase screen controls the price, billing period, introductory terms, renewal price, and any eligibility conditions that apply to that transaction.

Android purchases are billed and managed by Google Play. Unless you cancel through Google Play before renewal, Google may automatically renew and charge the payment method on file under its terms. Use Restore Purchases in Rootd while signed in to the account that should receive access. Cancellation normally leaves access active through the paid period; expiration removes paid access. Refunds for Google Play transactions are governed by Google Play’s applicable policies.

Web purchases are processed by Stripe under the checkout terms shown before payment. Rootd does not store full payment-card numbers. An introductory campaign may differ from the standard offer; the exact displayed checkout terms control.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of recipes, notes, feedback, and other content you submit. You grant PINGIT LLC a limited license to host, process, transform, and display that content only as needed to provide, protect, and improve Rootd. You must have the right to submit the content and must not use Rootd to infringe another person’s rights.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use Rootd for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, or abusive activity.
  • Probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass security, entitlement, or usage controls.
  • Automate bulk generation, scraping, resale, or redistribution without permission.
  • Upload malicious code or content you do not have the right to use.
  • Use generated content to facilitate dangerous or illegal conduct.

8. Food, allergy, and nutrition safety

Rootd provides general planning information, not medical, dietary, or nutrition advice. Recipes may contain errors or may not account for cross-contact, substitutions, individual conditions, appliance differences, or local food-safety guidance. Verify ingredients and labels, prevent cross-contamination, use a food thermometer where appropriate, and follow authoritative storage and cooking guidance. Do not rely on Rootd to identify or manage a serious allergy.

9. Automated and generated content

Some meal plans, recipe transformations, quantities, and prep steps are created or assisted by automated systems. Generated output may be incomplete or incorrect. Review it before use and report unsafe or inappropriate content to support@rootdapp.com.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep Rootd available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service and may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or create security, safety, or legal risk.

11. Account deletion and termination

You may delete your account through the mobile app or request deletion through our Account Deletion page. An associated Stripe web subscription is canceled as part of deletion. Deleting a Rootd account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription; cancel it separately through Google Play.

12. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rootd is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. PINGIT LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from reliance on recipe, allergy, nutrition, storage, or generated guidance. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer law requires otherwise.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Rootd changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice for material changes when required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
